As chair of IOSCO and member of the IOSCO committee on retail investors, the Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) will continue to lend its support to World Investor Week.
As during previous editions, the FSMA will disseminate several press releases informing Belgian media and the wider public about the importance of the initiative, as well as a number of publications on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook reflecting the different themes of WIW 2023.
Additionally, the FSMA is working on the development and rollout of a new online campaign to raise awareness about investment fraud, with a special focus on cryptocurrencies and fraudulent trading platforms. The campaign will be carried out throughout the months of October and November via the FSMA’s consumer portal, Wikifin.be. The campaign aims to help the wider Belgian public to identify fraud attempts and its perpetrators.
