• Financial Literacy Month (“FLM”) (Scheduled: Month of October)
  FLM is an annual flagship event to enhance the awareness of consumers on key financial issues and improve financial literacy among Malaysians. With the inaugural FLM in 2020, the FLM provides a hybrid platform (virtual and physical) for FEN members and partners to engage with Malaysians from all walks of life on numerous topics of finance and consumer protection Among the activities during the FLM are roadshows, webinars, advisory, symposiums, competitions, pocket talks and exhibitions or virtual information booths. For 2023, InvestSmart® will be organising weekly webinars with our licensed intermediaries for the public to not only gain knowledge on capital market products and services, but also to guide them on how and where to invest. Anti-scam awareness elements were also included in the sessions to guide the public on how to distinguish legitimate investments from scams.
  
  Virtual #FinPlan4U (Scheduled: 1st week October )
  During the launch of FLM as well, we will be organising Virtual #FinPlan4U which is scheduled to be 1st week of October for 2 days. This will be a complimentary one-to-one financial planning clinic sessions where the public was able to engage with a licensed financial planner to the public
  
  
• InvestSmart® Fest 2023 (Scheduled: 17 – 19 Nov 2023)
  InvestSmart® Fest 2023 (“ISF 2023”) is scheduled to be held from 17 – 19 November at Hall 4, KL Convention Centre. The 3-day event, themed Silap Labur Duit Lebur aims to remind the public to be vigilant when making investment decision. ISF 2023 will bring together capital market institutions, associations, industry players and relevant agencies under one roof. The 3-day event will showcase products and services offered by capital market intermediaries including stocks, bonds, unit trusts, private retirement schemes (PRS), exchange-traded funds (ETF), equity crowdfunding (ECF), peer-to-peer financing (P2P), digital investment management (DIM) and digital asset exchanges (DAX). This event will feature talks, panel discussions and fireside chats by leading industry experts to share their insights on the Malaysian capital market and investment opportunities available.
  
  #FinPlan4U (Scheduled: 17 – 19 Nov 2023)
  Similar to previous years, InvestSmart® will also be featuring #FinPlan4U service desk offering complimentary one-to-one financial planning clinic sessions where the public was able to engage with a licensed financial planner to the public. There will be approximately 20 Licensed financial planners at any one time attending to the public over the 3 days.
  
  
• KL Car-Free Morning X Scambuster Fun Day (Scheduled: 19 Nov 2023)
  InvestSmart® will be organising KL Car-Free Morning X Scambuster Fun Day in conjunction with InvestSmart® Fest 2023 (“ISF”). KL Car-Free Morning is a green initiative to reduce carbon emission and promote a healthy lifestyle in Kuala Lumpur through recreational sports, arts and cultural activities. The event is held every Sunday of the month, where roads are closed for all motorized vehicles to carry out various activities for public including running, cycling, walking, rollerblading and skateboarding from 7.00am to 9.00am. The route starts from Dataran DBKL (near Dataran Merdeka), and participants are led through up to maximum 7 kilometers of major streets in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle.
  For this purpose, InvestSmart® will be organising a running event targeting 3,000 paid participants. Similar to previous ScamBuster activities organised by InvestSmart®, it is intended for the proceeds raised to be channeled to a charitable cause to be identified. Given the nature of KL Car-Free Morning initiative, this event will also be in line with the spirit of sustainability that the SC have been propagating. Furthermore the participants are able to learn about anti-scam awareness along the way as we will be having anti-scam messaging imbedded during the activity.
